Get plenty of rest this week, listen to your body\u2019s signals, and <strong>enjoy that big moment!<\/strong> \ud83d\udc96    <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What You Need to Know at 40 Weeks Pregnant<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83d\udc49 <strong>You&#8217;re finally at the finish line!<\/strong> But that doesn&#8217;t mean your baby will come right away. Many babies can stay inside for a few days or even a week past their due date. Your womb is still a warm and safe place for them!  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83d\udc49 <strong>Pelvic pressure is a real thing!<\/strong> Your baby is probably already positioned downward and ready for birth. This can make it hard to walk, forcing you to literally <strong>walk like a penguin<\/strong> . \ud83d\ude02 You may also experience sudden, sharp pains in your groin from pinched nerves.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83d\udc49 <strong>The average baby weight is around 3.4 kg!<\/strong> But of course, every baby is different. While some are tiny, some can come into the world as a powerful mini athlete! \ud83c\udfcb\ufe0f\u200d\u2642\ufe0f  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83d\udc49 <strong>If the birth is delayed, a biophysical profile (BPP) can be performed.<\/strong> This test <strong>includes an ultrasound and a non-stress test<\/strong> to check the baby&#8217;s health. It also checks whether the amniotic fluid is sufficient. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83d\udc49 <strong>This week can be a test of patience!<\/strong> Constant thoughts like <strong>&#8220;Have contractions started?&#8221;<\/strong> , <strong>&#8220;Is this movement different?&#8221;<\/strong> may be on your mind. But the most important thing <strong>is to follow your baby&#8217;s movements carefully<\/strong> . If you feel a significant decrease in movements, <strong>call your doctor immediately<\/strong> . Remember, your baby <strong>will arrive on time and healthy!<\/strong> \ud83d\udc95   <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Little One is Ready! What is Baby Doing in Week 40? \ud83d\udc76 \u2728   <\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Your baby&#8217;s <strong>organs are now fully developed and he\/she is ready for the outside world!<\/strong> \ud83c\udf0e \ud83c\udf89 This week, his\/her hair and nails continue to grow and his\/her lungs are getting stronger for his\/her first breath. He\/she can now <strong>respond to sounds, blink his\/her eyes, clench his\/her fists and even move his\/her head<\/strong> ! <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">What&#8217;s more, <strong>he&#8217;s moving down into the birth canal<\/strong> and getting into position. Most babies are expecting in a head-down position this week, but some <strong>may still be lying on their sides or feet down<\/strong> . If your baby still hasn&#8217;t gotten into position, your doctor will follow up.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Are you ready?  <strong>Because the little one is counting the days to step into the outside world!<\/strong>  \u23f3 \ud83d\udc95<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How Big Is The Baby? Baby&#8217;s Height And Weight At 40 Weeks Pregnant <\/strong>  \ud83c\udf49 \ud83d\udccf<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>At 40 weeks, your baby is the size of a huge watermelon!<\/strong> \ud83c\udf49 On average, a full-term baby can be <strong>about 50-55 cm long<\/strong> and weigh between <strong>3 and 4.5 kg<\/strong> . Of course, every baby is different, so it may be a little smaller or bigger. But no matter what, the day you will hold him in your arms is very close! \ud83d\udc95<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How Many Months Is 40 Weeks Pregnant?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As you guessed, <strong>you have completed 9+ months with 40 weeks of pregnancy!<\/strong> \ud83c\udf89 Congratulations, you have finished the marathon! But remember, your baby will decide when he wants to come. \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>40th Week of Pregnancy Ultrasound and Checkups \ud83c\udfe5<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This week, your doctor may order <strong>a biophysical profile (BPP) and a non-stress test (NST)<\/strong> . But if all is well, just wait!   <strong>Your baby won&#8217;t be stuck inside forever, it&#8217;s almost there!<\/strong>  \u23f3 \ud83d\udc95<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Pregnancy Symptoms in Week 40 \ud83e\udd30 \u23f3<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We&#8217;re in the final weeks and you&#8217;re probably still struggling <strong>with the same symptoms<\/strong> . <strong>Be patient!<\/strong> \ud83d\udd70\ufe0f Only your baby knows when he or she decides to come. Here are the symptoms that may be the most challenging for you this week: <\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>\ud83e\udd74 Leg Cramps<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cramps that come on suddenly in the middle of your sleep? <strong>Gently stretching your calf and hamstring muscles<\/strong> can help relieve some of this discomfort. Remember, eating foods that contain magnesium can also help reduce cramps! <\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>\ud83e\udee3 Pelvic Pressure<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>You may feel more pressure in your groin and lower abdomen<\/strong> as your baby settles further into your pelvis.
