Ready to hear about everything happening inside this week? Let\u2019s go!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>My Size and Appearance<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.mucizeanne.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/30-rotated.avif\" alt=\"\" style=\"width:842px;height:auto\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Right now, I\u2019m about <strong>39 cm long<\/strong>, which makes me <strong>as big as a butternut squash!<\/strong> \ud83c\udf83 My <strong>body is filling out<\/strong>, and my <strong>ultrasound images<\/strong> are clearer than ever. You can see my <strong>tiny fingers, chubby cheeks, and little toes perfectly now<\/strong>! I\u2019m looking more and more like the <strong>baby you\u2019ll soon hold in your arms!<\/strong> \ud83d\udc76\ud83d\udc96<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What Am I Doing Inside? \ud83e\udd38\u200d\u2640\ufe0f<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This week, I\u2019m <strong>super active!<\/strong> As the space inside your belly <strong>gets tighter<\/strong>, I\u2019m adjusting by <strong>stretching my arms and legs, turning, and wiggling around.<\/strong> Sometimes, I\u2019ll even give you a <strong>big stretch<\/strong> when I feel too squished! \ud83d\ude06 You might <strong>feel my movements more intensely<\/strong> since I have <strong>less room to move freely.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I\u2019m still <strong>sucking my thumb<\/strong> and <strong>touching my face<\/strong>, and I\u2019m practicing my <strong>grip<\/strong> by grabbing the umbilical cord or my own tiny hands. Everything I do now is <strong>preparing me for life outside!<\/strong> \ud83d\udc95<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>My Sleep and Wake Cycles Are More Regular! \ud83d\ude34\ud83c\udf1e<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I\u2019m developing <strong>a more structured sleep routine<\/strong> inside your belly! I have <strong>longer periods of deep sleep<\/strong>, and when I wake up, I <strong>move around a lot.<\/strong> You probably notice that I\u2019m <strong>more active at night<\/strong>, just when you\u2019re trying to sleep! \ud83d\ude06 (Sorry, Mommy! But I\u2019ll be on this schedule for a little while even after I\u2019m born! \ud83d\ude09)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Did you know? I might even <strong>be dreaming!<\/strong> My little brain is so active that scientists believe I could be <strong>having my very first dreams<\/strong> while I sleep. I wonder\u2026 <strong>Am I dreaming about you, Mommy?<\/strong> \ud83e\udd70<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>My Kicks and Flips Are Getting Stronger! \ud83d\udd7a<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Since my <strong>muscles and bones<\/strong> are stronger, my movements feel <strong>bigger and more powerful<\/strong>! You might even <strong>see my feet or hands press against your belly<\/strong> from the outside! \ud83d\ude32 As I grow, my movements become <strong>less frequent<\/strong> but <strong>more intense<\/strong>\u2014so don\u2019t be surprised if you feel <strong>stronger kicks and turns.<\/strong> \ud83d\udcaa<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>My Eyes Are More Active! \ud83d\udc40<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I <strong>open and close my eyes<\/strong> frequently now! My <strong>eyelashes and eyebrows<\/strong> are fully developed, and I can <strong>react to bright light<\/strong> shining through your belly. My little <strong>eye muscles are getting stronger<\/strong>, helping me <strong>focus and blink<\/strong> more easily. <strong>Soon, I\u2019ll be looking right at you, Mommy!<\/strong> \ud83d\ude0d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>My Lungs: Getting Ready for My First Breath! \ud83c\udf2c\ufe0f<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">My <strong>lungs<\/strong> are continuing to <strong>mature<\/strong>, and I\u2019m <strong>practicing breathing<\/strong> by moving <strong>amniotic fluid in and out<\/strong>. These little exercises are <strong>helping me prepare for my first real breath<\/strong> when I meet you! Even though I\u2019m still inside, my <strong>breathing muscles<\/strong> are getting stronger every day. \ud83c\udf1f<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>My Brain: More Complex and Powerful! \ud83e\udde0<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">My brain is <strong>growing rapidly<\/strong>, and the <strong>connections between my neurons<\/strong> are <strong>multiplying like crazy!<\/strong> This means I can now:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2714\ufe0f <strong>Process and react to sounds more clearly<\/strong> (Yes, I recognize your voice, Mommy! \ud83d\udc95)<br>\u2714\ufe0f <strong>Distinguish between different tastes<\/strong> (Yum, what did you eat today? \ud83d\ude0b)<br>\u2714\ufe0f <strong>Feel gentle touches on your belly<\/strong> (Daddy, keep rubbing Mommy\u2019s tummy\u2014I love it! \ud83d\ude0d)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I\u2019m also learning to <strong>control my body movements better<\/strong>, so my kicks and stretches are <strong>more coordinated now.<\/strong> Every new thing I experience <strong>helps my brain grow even stronger!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>My Skin: Getting Softer and Stronger! \ud83d\udee1\ufe0f<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I\u2019m still covered in <strong>vernix caseosa<\/strong>, the creamy <strong>protective coating<\/strong> that <strong>keeps my skin soft and moisturized<\/strong> inside the amniotic fluid. My <strong>fine body hair (lanugo)<\/strong> is also still helping me stay <strong>warm and comfy<\/strong> in here! But soon, I\u2019ll start <strong>losing some of my lanugo<\/strong> as I prepare for birth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>This Week\u2019s Highlights! \ud83c\udf1f<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2714\ufe0f <strong>I\u2019m running out of space!<\/strong> I\u2019m still moving a lot, but my <strong>kicks and stretches feel stronger<\/strong> because space is tight!<br>\u2714\ufe0f <strong>My sleep cycle is more structured!<\/strong> I sleep and wake up at <strong>more regular times<\/strong>, and I might even <strong>dream!<\/strong> \ud83d\ude34<br>\u2714\ufe0f <strong>I\u2019m practicing breathing!<\/strong> My lungs are getting <strong>stronger and more developed.<\/strong><br>\u2714\ufe0f <strong>My brain is getting smarter!<\/strong> I can <strong>recognize voices, react to sounds, and feel soft touches.<\/strong><br>\u2714\ufe0f <strong>I can blink!<\/strong> My eyes are <strong>fully formed<\/strong> and <strong>respond to light.<\/strong><br>\u2714\ufe0f <strong>My immune system is growing!<\/strong> I\u2019m <strong>absorbing antibodies<\/strong> from you to <strong>fight off infections.<\/strong><br>\u2714\ufe0f <strong>My skin is more developed!<\/strong> My <strong>vernix caseosa<\/strong> is <strong>protecting and moisturizing<\/strong> me.<br>\u2714\ufe0f <strong>My heart is strong!<\/strong> It beats <strong>140-150 times per minute<\/strong>, keeping me <strong>healthy and growing.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Tips for Mommy and Daddy! \ud83c\udf1f<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Mommy, we\u2019ve made it to Week 29!<\/strong> \ud83c\udf89 You might be feeling <strong>more pressure in your belly<\/strong> as I take up more space. Here are some ways to <strong>stay comfortable and energized<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83d\udc96 <strong>Practice deep breathing<\/strong> to help with shortness of breath.<br>\ud83d\udc96 <strong>Use pillows to support your belly<\/strong> while sleeping (a pregnancy pillow works wonders!).<br>\ud83d\udc96 <strong>Stay hydrated<\/strong> to help with swelling in your feet and legs.<br>\ud83d\udc96 <strong>Eat small, frequent meals<\/strong> to avoid bloating and indigestion.<br>\ud83d\udc96 <strong>Take short walks<\/strong> to keep your circulation strong and ease back pain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sleeping might be <strong>getting trickier<\/strong> now that your belly is bigger!
