Week 36: Time to Get into Position! 🍠

Hello, my dear mommy,

I’m now the size of a sweet potato, and I’m starting to settle into the right position for birth! The countdown has begun, and I have some helpful tips to get us ready:

🐾 Hands and Knees Position

Spending a few minutes on all fours can help me move head-down into the optimal birth position. This position also helps relax your pelvis and relieve pressure.

🌬️ Breathing Techniques

Now is the perfect time to practice deep breathing techniques for labor. Inhale deeply, exhale slowly, and focus on staying calm. This will help you feel more in control when the big day arrives.

💃 Slow Dancing

Swaying your hips to gentle, soothing music can loosen up your muscles and improve pelvic flexibility. Plus, it’s a fun and relaxing way to move!

🛌 Sleeping and Resting Positions

Avoid sleeping on your back—instead, try resting on your left side. This maximizes blood flow to me and helps you feel more comfortable.

📖 Story Time

Keep talking, reading, and sharing bedtime stories with me! Your voice is my favorite sound, and hearing you makes me feel so safe and loved.

🚫 Important!

In these last few weeks, you may notice swelling in your feet and legs. To ease discomfort:

  • Keep moving regularly to promote circulation.
  • Elevate your legs when resting to reduce swelling.

Mommy, look how far we’ve come together! With love, trust, and a strong bond, we’re getting ready for the most magical moment of our journey.

With love, in the perfect position,
Your Sweet Little Potato 🌼🍠👶🏻
